[xk] Re:XK120 Radiator for sale

Hi List.

Radiator talk brings to mind two 120 Radiators from 53 OTS’s that were
rebuilt 3 weeks ago with new high efficiency triple cores by Superior
Radiator with 2 yr warranty. One is back in the car. The other is for
sale. Need for $ toward new tires forces sale. Details off list if
interested.

Lazy rebuild-revival of 37 yr engine update:
Marvel mystery oil continues to rebuild the engine and compression in 3
cylinders. 4 months ago was 20 lbs. Two weeks ago was 60 lbs. Last week
was 80 lbs. When it hits 90 I am tempted to fire it up. I know it is a
‘wet’ measurement, but at least it seems to be improving somewhat. With
inches of snow now on the ground (Michigan-USA) driving and spring is on
hold for a few. Can’t wait to fire it up!

Cheers, Lee Jacobsen, Dearborn, MI XK120 673476 , 672814

Where do I get Marvel Oil ? I am in Mississauga Canada…Thanks Les

Les;
Your local auto parts stores or chain dept. stores like Wal-Mart (in
the automotive section) should carry it… or. at least, be able to get it.
It is not a difficult product to find south of Canada…
The full name of the product is “Marvel Mystery Oil”… the oil is
thin and red in colour… also great for lubricating air-powered tools as
well…

I Thank you for your offer John…When I heard that Wal Mart would carry it
I grabbed my snow shoes ,hitched up the dogs and mushed off through the
howling blizzard to the nearast Wal Mart emporium…This is one of the new
mega stores. On arrival I walked the 1.5 miles to the auto section and
discovered a very knowledgable man who knew absolutely nothing about Marvel
Oil…I the mushed down to Canadian Tire…Being in the auto industry the
oil shelf was right at the entrance…Low and behold a shelf full of Marvel
Oil only in Canadian Tire Eh…I now hold in my hand a red bottle of
Marvel Oil and am asking myself do they make more than one and do I have the
right one…It is Marvel Oil Super Gas Treatment…Have I got the right stuff
?? Thank you all for for your response…regards Les

If you can’t find it in a good hardware store, I’d be happy to ship you
some. It’s readily available here in Northeast CT.

I’ll need your address for UPS delivery and the quantity you are looking
for (off line, of course).

Les,

I guess they have expanded their line, but I’m sure It’s all based on the
same product which is good. The color is right, but my ancient
experience is with a very low viscosity lubricant that could be described
as a penetrating oil. It came in containers from small (4 Oz) oil cans
to 1 gallon sizes that I used successful in my seized Land Rover.

I’m astonished and impressed with your dedication to the product. Are
you planning an ad campaign?
