Hi guys, I have what I believe to be a tachometer for an XK150 but unable to confirm this. From going through the archives it appears the XK models were fitted with different types of tachometer.
The one I have has the following numbers at the top of the dial: 51-117-108-00.
It would be great if someone can Identify this tacho to a specific model)s) of XK.
Stay safe

Hi,
Smiths 51-117-108-00 was used over the period 1957 up to May 1959 on the Jaguar Mk 1 with 2.4 litre engine (from 1955 to 1958) and with 3.4 litre engine (up to May 1959). It had Jaguar code C.9639. It was later replaced by the Smiths RN7460/00 with Jaguar code C.12606.
Note that my Smiths data survey states that 51-117-108-00 received the new Smiths number RN7460/01.
Smiths code RN7460 is also listed as the Rev counter with Clock on the Jaguar XK 150 although with a different suffix: RN7460/00 (Jaguar C.12606) instead of your RN7460/01 (Jaguar C.9639). So the Jaguar XK150 used the later Mk 1 tachometer. Don’t know the exact difference between suffix /00 and /01.
