Hi Tadek,
JB made those labels himself, he’s very good at it. Unfortunately for
your need, he restored that 150"S" for someone else & was very
meticulous in every part of the restoration.

No, I’ve never seen such a label on an XK120 or Mark VII
filter canister. If there had been, we surely would have
discussed it some time in the 15 years this forum has been
going.
There is of course an aluminum tag riveted to the attachment
housing giving the model number, which I believe is well
documented by Urs, Bernard, et al.–

Hi all.
Neither of these two decals appear to match the parts book details for the later 120 oil cleaner.
The original one pictured may have come from a Mark VII oil cleaner if there is a difference.
Are either of these correct for the late 120?
There is a mistake in the XK120 parts catalogue on page 6 (1958 edition), giving the filter assembly part number for XK140, (although they give the correct element, canister and bolt part numbers).
FA2678 should be correct for a late 120.
It was on these Mark VII engines with cast aluminum sump.
The difference from the early 120 long filter FA2045 is the shorter canister, bolt and cartridge.
Early mid range Mark VII and early 140 had FA2690 with pressed steel sump and a relief valve inside the oil pump rather than on the filter head.
Late mid range Mark VII and late 140 had FA2690/101 with block C8610.
Excellent. Thanks Rob.
It would appear the original one I have in my photo on the right is correct for my car.
The reproduction tag on the left for a 140.
Most appreciated
