XK120 headlamp loom question

I’m at the wiring stage on my XK120 project. Installing the sub-looms first. I didn’t have the pleasure of removing the wiring - a PO did that - so I don’t know how things were originally arranged. The archives are a big help. As is Viart. and the JCNA judging guide, etc. But I’m stumped on how the headlamp wire leads feed into the two headlamp pods. On the underside there’s a hole about 7/16" in diameter through which the wiring passes through a grommet, but what’s the purpose of the two 1/4" holes positioned 2 1/2" either side?

Both pod undersides feature the three holes. One’s likely for a P clamp but what’s the purpose of the other?

Thanks in advance.

Somewhere for the smoke to escape?:smiling_imp:

Or for the rust inducing cast off from the tires gets in? :sunglasses:

The holes are for clips to hold both the headlamp cable and the side light cable.
the picture should give some idea.
