Factory original XK120 fuel tank for either OTS or FHC.
This original 120 fuel tank was removed during a 1980’s restoration. The tank was cleaned, two pin-hole leaks repaired, the lower surface fiber glassed and the interior coated with a popular Hirsch preservation product. While in use, a few years later, it was discovered that the preservation product was susceptible to dissolving in the newly formulated gasolines. The dissolved product caused the float valves to stick. The tank was removed and cleaned but my personal effort did not fully resolve the issue and I bought a replacement tank.
The original tank has been in dry storage for the past 20 years. It does not have a float assembly and the drain plug does not have an original screen. (Both are currently available at Moss.) The interior is very clean but would likely benefit from a professional cleaning. Located in southern California.
