XK120 PF770 install

Hello brains trust,
I’m wondering where this spring attaches. My car only had it on one side, hooked through a small hole in the ring that screws to the headlight pod.
But I can’t find where the other end hooks to.
Any advice much appreciated.

Never let it be said that a obscure question is left to die.
My 120 originally had PF770s with yellow bulbs for France, but it “saw the light” and was “changed in a twinkling” from the dark side to 7" glorious lights. But the PO left one of those springs hanging in there.
It hooks into a tiny hole in the item 1 inner mounting rim, on the inner lip, counterclockwise from the top, looking at it from the front, about 11 o’clock.

Edit; I couldn’t leave it alone, had to dig out my PF770s.
The other end hooks onto the light unit on a loop near the bulb insert, so I think it acts to keep it aimed.

Thanks Rob, as my Dad would say, “you are a gentleman and a scholar “
The wire loop is missing but it looks pretty easy to duplicate.
I think the spring is to pull the headlight back against the land behind the head of the adjusting screw,
Thanks again.
