XK120 roadster door gaps (1951 steel OTS)

Hi,

I am rebuilding my doors. Can anyone tell me the gap I should have - without any trim - between the vertical face of the sill and the vertical panel at the bottom of the door (the one with the oval hole in it) when closed. I will need room for the sealing rubber and channel and along the bottom of the sill?

David

Answered your own question methinks David. Attache the channel and seal then form the bottom
of the door to obtain a “nip fit”. There might have been a target gap to aim for at the factory,
but how many times it was hit, who knows ?
