Does anyone have a source for new or used XK120 track rod ends? These are the ends to the center tube that connects the steering box to the idler and not the tie rods that go to the steering arms on the stub axle carriers at each wheel. I need a right hand end, part number C.4135 or 355976. Although some of the usual sources list those parts, they only supply the replacement bush and pin and not the entire track rod end. My right hand end, identified by the RH thread, is bent and appears to require more than just a replacement bush and pin.
Bent in an accident or pothole? Maybe it can be straightened by a good machinist with a torch.
This part was shared with late Mark V, but no other models.
I recall someone in Australia recently found a big stash of Mark V parts.
Early XK120 and early Mark V used the version with the threaded pin as shown in the manuals. This could be used if you don’t find the correct one and can’t straighten yours.
