Restoring CK 140 roadster. It came with a new steel fuel tank that has been in box for several years. Was told it came from XK unlimited. My problem is the tank fitting is not the same as original. Its not beveled enough to use the original fuel line. Anybody had this issue. What fitting will work?

Tank fitting and original fuel line nipple. Nipple to long to allow connection, no bevel on tank fitting
Is that supposed to be a brand new tank? Certainly doesn’t look that way. The bevel in the fitting does not need to be as long as the one on the fuel line. Why not bolt it up and pressure the tank and the end of the fuel line?
