[xk8] convertible handle

Fellow XK8’ers-- I am in desperate need of finding a replacement of
the little trim piece that fits into the convertible top headliner.
The part acts as a place to put your hand if you have to operate
the top manually. JTIS calls it the pull-down aperture, but no
dealer, nor the parts fiche can find this part. Does anyone out
there know what I’m talking about, and know how I can find one? It
looks crappy with a ragged hole in my headlliner!

Thanks for your help!

Hi Brian

Our '00 XK8 convertible does not have a trim piece around
the pull down aperture, nor is one missing as the headliner
is nicely stitched around the hole. If your is stitched
that is all there is, unless that was changed on later models.

Sorry I can’t be of more help.

My head liner was cut streched and glued to back side of the hole.
Mine has no stitching.

In a couple of places mine needs to be reglued, however it still
looks neat, but it could have better finished with either stitching
or a trim piece.

I would be interested if anyone finds a trim piece to finish this
off.–
