I drove the car, drives well, engine is very quiet. Has 7
Jaguar Service Stamps upto 2011, then next 4 services are by
non jag dealer. Cosmetically in good nick. Since it has done
86K Miles, I have asked dealer to change gearbox oil. I
drove it on a road that was not very smooth, the car didn’t
feel all that smooth on this road. On a smooth road it
glided. Should I worry about this? Would I need to change
the bushes etc?
I am based in the UK. Is this car going to be expensive
to maintain annually? Will take good care of it, not cover
in excess of 3000 miles annually. How much money should I
keep aside for annual service/maintenance?
Any alarm bells after looking at the advert for this car?
Anything I should be weary about or insist that the dealer
needs to get done before I take ownership of the vehicle?

In reply to a message from Suneer sent Wed 2 Jul 2014:
A 2005 should be relatively trouble free.
It is very common for the upper shock mounts to prematurely
deteriorate, so that is a possible cause of the rough ride
on rough roads.
Check the service records if the other fluids (coolant,
brake, power steering) have been flushed. That could be a
good investment (coolant #1 priority).
If it still has an original battery, a new battery will
serve you well at this point. A weak battery can cause a
number of false electrical problems.–
