[xk8] Trunk lights

I tried to replace the trunk (boot to the colonialists)
lights on my XK8 as I thought they were burnt out.
Replacing them didn’t work and the old bulbs looked fine.
Can anyone suggest where next to try? Getting things out of
the trunk in the wee hours of the morning with no light is
getting old fast.–

The microswitch in the trunk latch is likely bad.–

Thanks. I was thinking that might be it. Do you know where
it is and how to get to it?–

Discovered today that Jaguar no longer sells the switch
independently but you have to buy the latch and switch together.–
