[xk8] Will not start from hot!

Have owned my 98 XK8 with 44k on clock for 6 months now and until
recently has been great.Have now encountered problem when after
being driven an indertminate distance, anything from 50-10 miles
and then stopping she will not start.Engine turns over and then
green Engine failsafe mode light comes on. After leaving it for
between 20-45mins this light goes out and she starts and drives
fine. Has never failed to start from cold and, other than having an
amber check engine light staying on prior to starting when it goes
out I can see, or feel no ill effects from this. Any thoughts out
there before I have to dip into the petrol fund.–

As a quick guess could the coolant temperature sensor have failed?
AFAIR when these fail they cause the fuel system to think the
engine is cold and therefore overfuel (like a choke on a an old
car) making restarting a hot engine very difficult–

Only way to progress in the guessing is to have the OBDII codes red
and posted here…–
