[xk8] Won't Start

Hi Everyone
last week I took my xk8 convertible for a drive and switched
off (when hot) and on restart it was difficult to start but
did eventually go. Same thing happened when I got home but
longer to start. Then went on a 100 mile trip and now wont
start at all. Theres no codes present and when I pulled the
plugs they were dry. To check fuel pressure does the engine
need to be cranked or should I have pressure just with
ignition on? Should I be able to hear the fuel pump operating
and could I have a problem with the immobiliser.
Many Thanks
Ben–

Yes you should hear the fuel pump (in the tank) when you
turn the key on and you should have pressure at the fuel
rail. It seems that we have been seeing far too many fuel
pumps failing over the past several months. Check the
pressure first to verify no fuel.–
