Thanks Kirbert. I did some reading on biased carb needles last night after I posted and what I read was in line with what you’ve stated regarding metering accuracy. Maybe I’ll call Joe Curto tomorrow and ask him about the needle bias. Back in March I had Joe rebush the throttle shafts and while doing that he noticed my jets had some hairline cracks and he recommended I replace those, so he did that for me. Because of that, and not having full confidence in the condition of my original needles, I asked him to send me a couple of new B1Es when he returned my carb bodies. These are the ones he sent me and I have verified on the needle stamping that they are B1Es.
As far as the plastic washer, I do believe that is correct, although different from my originals. The third picture in this post from another member shows a similar washer, and I’ve seen it other places too -
