1971 s3 automatic transmission kickdown wire connector leaking

I have a 71 s3 that has developed a leak at the connector plug for the kickdown solenoid . The plug is located on the outside right side I don’t think it is a pressure leaks but weeps. Does anyone know the part number for this and also if the valve body has to be dropped to replace it. Thanks John

Hi John,
I do not recall the size of the ‘o’ ring but it can be replaced without dropping the ‘valve body’. The pan will need to be removed to access the plastic plug that will be brittle from age and exposure to heat. I used a socket to compress the nylon prongs on the plug and pushed it out from the inside. Replace the ‘o’ ring and your off and running.
