1990 Paint type by Jaguar

Can anyone advise what type of paint system Jaguar used in 1990 on the XKJ-S?
Base/Clear? Single stage? or?

Hi John,
Jaguar used Basecoat/Clearcoat.
An old timer had told me that the paint got significantly better in the late 80’s compared to early to mid eighties! Unsure of any difference with the nineties cars however.
