2002 STS CATS Fault

Hi all, I just bought my first Jaguar, a 2002 S Type 4.0. She has a CATS Fault, I’m wondering what that means???

There’s a problem with the shocks, you need to get the codes pulled to find out what exactly the fault is. One scenario is that the PO has replaced the shocks with non CATS shocks. An easy check is to open the bonnet and look at the top of the shock. If there are wires connected to the shocks then they are CATS, if the plug is in fresh air then its likely they have been a) disconnected or b) replaced as above.
