2003 XK8 replaced tranny now P0610 code

HELP, my tranny took a dump and there is not a Jag dealer within 100 miles so I had a local tranny shop swap my tranny with a used one. Now getting a P0610 code, shop is clueless. I know the P0610 is a TCM issue, so can we swap the TCM from my old tranny into the new one to resolve the issue. Unable to have a reflash done as can’t find anyone locally with the IDS tool.

Also I know the TCM is located in/on the Main Control Body. Can the TCM be removed from the MCB or does the complete assembly need to be swapped.

Any and all suggestions are welcome and thanks for your time.

The ZF 6HP26 has a ‘mechatronics’ valve body (TCM/VALVE BODY assy).

It can be installed in the replacement gearbox.
