3.4 L Engine build dates

Does anyone have a schedule showing approximate build dates for a 3.4 engine no. KJ8530-8 fitted to my 1964 MK2.

This was discussed on one of the Jag-Lovers lists recently. The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust folks have those records and will provide it for a small fee. Try contacting them. They are the same folks that provide the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificates.

I will if I can but the question has to be specific I.e when was this engine manufactured? Rather than what were the manufacture date bands and numbers of MK2 3.4l engines.

Hi Paul,

You might get more accurate data from Nigel Thorley’s book. There has been quite a lot of discussion on this forum about the ‘accuracy’ of the information from the Heritage Trust.
