To the engine gurus out there, I don’t believe 3.4 engines had sleeves, can a 3.4 engine handle a sleeve job ? also why is it that piston manufacturers do not make + 50 pistons , and +60 do not come as 9.1 comp.
Yes you can sleeve a 3.4 block just had it done on an XK 120 . To take it back to standard bore size.
In Jaguar works engine recon we NEVER went above +30thou pistons!!!
You can fit +40thou no problem!
Anything bigger is a risk due to lack of deck width between bores. Could be why you can’t get 9:1 +60 thou pistons?
