420 dash padding

Is there a source for the padding on the top of a 420 dash? Mine has the common cracks and splits. I wonder if there is a kit or maybe an all purpose source that heat shrinks a new cover to whatever you send them.

Hi Art, yes there is a source to recover the dash pad. They come out beautifully but will need some minor fiddling as the vinyl is a little thicker than stock. The down side is it is very expensive. Like $1400.00 the company is called Just Dashes in California. There is no other way to restore them as they, like the originals are vacuum formed on the foam. They will fill in all cracked areas and level the foam as new.

Thanks. This sounds like I need most of the foam in place. It also appears to suggest that the old vinyl will lift off the old foam.

Just Dashes has an incredible reputation has doing fantastic work. You might consider a dash cover pad that a local upholstery shop could fabricate as a temporary fix.

Just saw this on the web:
