'69 XKE cranks...fuel pump working...no start

the car turns over…runs for a few seconds after starting fluid is sprayed into the carbs…then dies

fuel pump is pumping…so…ANY THOUGHTS/GUESSES ARE WELCOMED

Welcome Tom,
Fuel is plugged up somewhere. Original stromberg carbs?

When you turn the key to the run position but don’t turn the key to start, does the fuel pump click and then the clicks slow and eventually stop or does it continue to click? The former is normal, that latter indicates the fuel pump isn’t properly delivering fuel to the carbs.

If the fuel pump is working, the number one thing to suspect is stuck needle valves. This is very likely if the car hasn’t been run for a time.

do you have the fuel lines at the pump connected properly…ie…is the out the “out” and the in the “in”.

Hmmmmm…why is he suggesting that?
