Can anyone show me what the proper VCM Screen Codes for an 88 xj40? My screen only half works and keeps showing something that I can’t make out. I Will add a picture when it pops up again.
Many times I have used the HAMMER FIST ON THE DASH ABOVE THE DISPLAY.
It does work at times!

I prefer the flat handed swat method on mine!
I can try to snap some photos of the display on the 1988 car I am currently working on. It currently shows a bulb outage error, a low brake pad warning, a brake pressure warning, and one or two other “faults”

Click on the magnifying glass symbol next to your icon on the top right of the page. When it opens type in “anti-lock failure”. Lots of good troubleshooting information. The common problem is the ABS over voltage relay in the trunk.
