Hi there!
I just had my A/C compressor replaced. I bought it from Rock Auto and had it replaced professionally, including recharging the unit. When the car has sat for awhile (hours) I hear a substantial “clunk” when the compressor first engages, then it runs smoothly with no further noises. I can make a half dozen stops in a two hour period and there is no “clunk” when starting the car with the A/C on.
Any ideas?
