Air Intake early Jag?

Hi,

Just cleaning out the shed and came across this air intake not sure if it is Jaguar or not does anyone know?

It looks like it might be for a four cylinder engine with a single side draft SU carb on which the filter is above the head. But not a carb this early, rather one from the '50s with vent holes.
