Just for the fun of it, my father is thinking on installing this manifold in his original (but rebuilt) XJ6 SI (1969 - MOD) 4.2 engine.
I was wondering before we are faced with a mess: will it fit the standard head currently in the car?

Yes , it will definitely fit the straight port head of the XJ6
Those are very valuable carburetors: they are older Italian- made Webers.
I assume you have a whole cabinet full of jets, emulsion tubes, and the like?

Actually the car is surprisingly fast on the standard non-smoged twin-SU. I wonder what this will do to it.
Quite a few indeed, but not a cabinet full. We do know of tuners though. I guess we will try and fire, try to adjust and see how it goes.
