mark4 wheel bearings has any body heard of front axle and hubs being modified to carry common bearing size ie holden by using a sleeve ihave just been told of this idea because of difficulty in obtaining front wheel bearings any inf peter shurven
Part numbers are given in the Service Manual as Timken 26126 - 26283 and 1351 - 1330. Dimensions are given on the Timken website. Any bearing shop should be able to get them, or come up with an alternative brand.

jaguar , like a number of other manufacturers had bearings made to their specific dimensions, Some unkindly would say this meant yu had to buy replacements from them.
This is the case with Mk IV fr wheel bearings
One can’t grind the stub undersize to fit other bearings as the last thing you want is to make it weaker.
But all is not lost. If you are in Australia , contact AA Bearings in Nunwading and they should e ableto fix you up . The outer bearings they have are slightly narrow [from a Packard or some such] and you make up the difference with a washer . The inners I think are .001"smaller iner dia, which s handy as you often find the stubs has worn a little where the bearing has turned.
If all this doesn’t work , get back to me for Plan B
And perhaps also crack test the stub axles, You can’t do much f they are cracked but at least you will know whether to be prepared and careful, make sure you keep enough endfloat in the bearings.
