My boot’s button stopped working. The remote opens the boot just as it should. So does the dash button. Care to speculate why the push button does not unlatch it? Is this just another electrical switch? Should I remove and clean?

Last time that happened to me was that the battery was down. Used key to open boot,
(my key hole is in the letters of XK8, just to the right of boot edge, then the button worked.

My boot has no keyhole. Battery is good.
Looks like I will be able to pull it down and open it up.
May be the solenoid.
