I have definite doubts about aftermarket rubbers of any kind ! I had big problems with the boot and quarterlight rubbers before I found a half decent solution ! The quarterlight ones for the mk7 are sold in one length , and fit mk 2 . All you have to do is seal round the pin at the bottom , no need to take the window out

Also pretty much the same for the MKV side screens, NDV’s etc. You need a good hobby knife (sharp like an x-acto) and rubber glue and nothing bits right out of the box.
Still I am glad we can actually buy seals that are somewhat usable, I have a 25 year old car where many of the rubber seals are just NLA.
