Am in the “figuring” stage as to which hydraulic throw-out bearing (mount style, height, etc…) to choose, to create the “sandwich” (flywheel, pressure plate, disc) as there is little room for error. In said figuring I was going to setup some sort of arbor to hold the HRB and assemble various spacing plus the PP/disc to recreate the distance from/to the back of the engine block face/crankshaft, plumb the HRB and test for throw and PP release using the clutch pedal in the pedal box.
It occurred to me that if I had an old bell I could cut a window to assess progress. Anybody have a cracked/chipped 3.8 or 4.2 bell to donate? I will pay shipping and some for the part, to Los Angeles CA. Local pickup an option.
I would utilize the automatic trans bell if the innards where the HRB would mount were similar.
