[CANCELLED] *Used* E-Type S1 FHC Windscreen/Windshield Free to Good Home

(Include at least one picture)

Description: I’m restoring a 1964 FHC; this is the windshield that was in the car when I bought it from a junkyard in 1985. It is a replacement PPG unit, not an original Pilkington. The windshield has “patina” which in this case means undesirable wiper scratches and road wear. The windshield will be shipped in the box that my new unit came in. You pay shipping or pick it up in Northern Virginia. If no one takes it in the next few days I will take it to the landfill.

Asking price (if selling): $0

Location: Northern Virginia

Contact information: PM me.

Cost of shipping (if selling): New owner pays shipping. Or pick up in Northern Virginia.

I might be interested. How patina’d is it?

It’s pretty worn. I can try to take a photo or two, but I don’t know if I can capture any of the details. Glass is hard to photograph.

Thanks! I appreciate you taking the time.

Here are a few pictures. Trying to photograph scratches in a windshield is like trying to photograph a vampire’s dentures…the background is mostly invisible to the camera. I circled the most prominent scratches, the ones where you can feel the scratch with your fingernail. Also, I looked at the shipping box that my new windshield came in…the sticker says 30 lbs. Can’t guarantee that’s what UPS will weigh this shipment at, but it ought to be close. See what UPS will charge you to ship from 22181.

The windshield/windscreen is still available. Among other considerations, please note that the package will weigh around 30 lbs and will come in a box 54x24x12. I’ll be shipping from 22181. You can get a shipping estimate on ups.com.

Do you think it will fit my '71 2+2?

No, it definitively will not fit your car.

I doubt it. 2+2 windshields (P/N BD36554) are different from FHC windshields (P/N BD 19360).
