Question:
Does any one know if its possible to put the 4 carb setup onto a V12 that was built with injection? I have a series 1 XJ12 (with complete intake and asperation) and would like to stay true to having the carbs on it.
I have access to two HE V12’s and was wandering IF this could be done.
Yes it has been done. Take a look at Woolfi’s posts on the uk etype forum. You’ll need a low pressure fuel pump and also change out the water rails, as the water jackets are what the carburetors attach to.
Wolfgang altered his needle profiles by measuring what they produced via a lambda sensor as the HE is a slightly different beast to a flat head motor.

Certainly, Stanlackey - engine is the same, and it doesn’t care how it is fed…
Leaves a lot of unrequired parts and wiring though…
