Classic Car Run to Ponderosa cafe - Sunday 17th Feb 2019

There is an eclectic bunch of vehicles (and equally eclectic velocipede peddalers) from Wirral going to Ponderosa Café, Horseshoe Pass on Sunday morning (Feb 17th). If convenient for you, do please join us, or meet us there. Wirralites will gather Smithy Hill, Thornton Hough CH63 and will set off at 9.45 am aiming to get to the café at around 10.30 – 10.45 to join the Standard Triumph (North Wales) group’s monthly ‘Bacon Butty Meeting’. Weather forecast is good, and the mix is getting spicy - who will get to Ponderosa first – the Healey 3000, the MGB GT V8, the Jag Mk2, the Rover P4 100 or the Honda C90 Cub? Hmmmmm.

Im betting against the Rover…

This is what it looked like, last time I was there. Watch out for the sheep!

Wish I could be there again!

Hi Dave,
Here it is two weeks ago - yikes!

That looks like February in North Wales! My first visit to the Llangollen area was in '68. With a new wife and a not so new '62 Morris Mini, we stayed over Christmas in a farmhouse close to what the locals call the “Panorama.” Good times! I go back every chance I get.
Have fun!

A few pics from the run - told you it was quite a mix.

Thanks, Tigger- I was hoping for some pics. Looks like normal welsh weather! At least it wasn’t snowing.
I always appreciate the dual-language road signs, and lack of pot-holes.

Did the Rover come in last?

:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Always the opotomist,
