Clutch adjustment

The car won´t begin to move, forward or backward until the pedal, when released from the bottom, has come up 80% of the travel.
I find it a bit awkward, anv very different to all my other manual cars, old Jaguars and modern cars.
What do I need to adjust?
The adjustment lever going through the bell house? Make it longer?

You’ll need to tell us which car you have as they came with different clutch slaves over the years. Some adjustable, some not so much. But yes if adjustable you lengthen the rod by rotating it after loosening the lock nut. However some free play must be maintained or you preload the throw out bearing and wear it out.

That’s about what my car does. Clutch does not slip under full throttle and shifts gears smoothly
Seems perfect
