Cold start temperature control switch

,

Hi all very good Tuesday morning
Scroll to view ….
the XJ is running not very well I’ve a replacement for the thermostat coolant time switch I share with you my Bosch part …
….
I spend time studying as them sensors by Lucas aftermarket are not very good I just want to help owners like me
.…
I got the Bosch part scroll to view …
it will fit as a direct replacement
the original ones are best sadly it broke the switch is stuck in the connection i will get it removed carefully!
I just noticed it this afternoon
on our car , I got a good reliable like the original was…. It’s handy to have the old coolant rail M12 by 1,5 size
….
When I overhauled the inlet manifold ken Jenkins supplied us a new coolant rail among other parts E10 injectors & so on engine core plugs my 9 hour job paid off massively back in august you can view my page you’ll see the job ….

as the old coolant rail … had a very bad seized thermostat housing it got damaged from trying to dismantle…. But ebby is great for stuff like this switchs always good quality shop…. Well worth €169 quid They never fail as there good quality… Bosch part…. It’s the same part as the old BMW , Ferrari old cars jaguar , old land rovers …
this can work on them as well for the information… that EAC1385 is the old Lucas original unit …… Bosch is the equivalent for old Lucas 0280130220…. The new Bosch part number is the equivalent to the original 0280130220 the originals are best I find always good lifetime quality……. Why they remanufactured the part is because with heat overtime the switch can crack like what happened to me my experience , The
long length gives it a beneficial advantage.I had it figured out from studying the following it direct fit automotive cars

The thermotime switch has no bearing on engine running, David - with reservation if it constantly or excessively keeps the CSI open…

But as a broken one is of no use whatsoever - which one on your list is closest to the temp/times on the OEM…?

The cold start is effective by it … I’ll have it sorted soon I’m waiting on the part for arrival… its a link with the cold start indicator also

The one nearest thermostat housing my friend I just share my experience I type it up ….
