[collectibles] Life 'n Manuals

Hi Ian

Just a short note to say many many thanks for organising our
Kentish visit. Anne greatly enjoyed both meeting your good selves
and the local countryside and cathedrals.

On a different note, I have a lad down 'ere who has a few
original jag owners and workshop manuals from 50s and
60s for sale, where would I go to find a fair value to pay him?

All for now, hi Barbara

Regards Brian

Hi Brian!

It was good to see you two too - and especially nice to meet up with Anne.
Now you both know where we are, just come over whenever you are this way
again.

As for the manuals, it is Beaulieu this weekend. If you can let me know
which the manuals are on offer, I can check them out on the field - but I am
leaving tomorrow (Thursday) tea-time. So you will need to turn your reply
around sharpish.

If that’s not poss, let me know the details anyway, and I’ll have a stab at
a value myself.

Roger,

Sorry but I had already left for Beaulieu. Guestimates on price are as
follows:

Sales brochures
Mk 1- 8-20 (depending on which one - see JC page 38)
Mk8 - 10-15
XK150 - 25-30

Owners manual for 2.4 Mk II - 10 -15

Autobooks manual for 420 - no value

Workshop manuals
if these are factory items, then Mk II, Mk I, Mk 10, XJ6 S1 all at 25-30
if not factory items then no value.

Mk VII-XK150 - don’t recognise this so suspect it is not a factory item - no
value.

Hope this is still of some use.
