Way back when. two of my friends owned and operated a collision shop. Started by their dad and mom. Dad taught the two brothers part of the business, and then mom and dad retired. One brother took on the paint shop. he and a helper did all the paint jobs. total or repaired parts. No spectometers yet! Mix was the key.
Blending was the skill. Not too shiny for faded paint cars. Or paint shiny and polish the rest to match. Or move the point of old and new to another panel. Most looked great. some not so much, but neither did the vehicle!!! Not of import to th4e owner. Example, a work truckā¦ or field carā¦
