[concours] Fan belt tensioner on early car

I have a Oct 23 build date 61 vin # 875880 the engine # is R2349-
9 Would my engine have the Automatic spring loaded tensioner at
the same location a t the 4.2’s (with exception to a single groove
pully) or did they have a spring loaded tensioner located near the
dynamo, a little confused here…–

This was your question that I answered.

Are you now saying that you have a jockey pulley that is non spring
loaded?

Mark,
J30 lists nothing in the way of a tensioner on the early cars. You
should get in touch with the JCNA tech line and order a copy of either
J30 printed 8-61 or better yet J30A.L.1 update printed 6-63.
