[concours] XKE door handle butttons

The new door handles do not have the ‘‘to lock’’ with arrow at the
key hole. For a Concours car, do the new, blank key hole
escutcheons have to be changed to the old ones with the arrows? I
have found other cars use the same stainless plate (with arrow) and
was wondering if I have to replace the new blank plate with nice
used arrowed plates.
(Spell check says arrowed is a word, who’da thought.)

Thanks,
Phil.–

Phil,

In JCNA Concours your car must be presented to the Judges in the
configuration that it left the factory. You don’t mention what year your
E-Type is, but if it doesn’t have the correct items, then a Judge should
apply a deduction because it is non-authentic.

The JCNA Concours Rule Book covers this, and what the deductions should
be. In addition the JCNA Judging Guides cover some individual models in
more detail. The JCNA Concours Rule Book and Judging Guides are available
to download from the JCNA website and they are also available in hard copy
in the JCNA Shoppe.
