I might have done something Im going to regret, but I just
purchased the above car on impulse , gut feeling and trust
without even looking at it. Since this method of purchase has
worked out in the past with my 67 Mark 2 which I love, and this
car seemed a very good price I took a leap of faith.
While I am waiting for shipping from another state of australia
and I know very little about these cars other than the
unescapable scathing comments on the web about the Leyland poor
built quality and the troublesome 4 carburetors (mine has
aftermarket electronic fuel injection-is this a good or bad
thing??) I am compelled to find out a little more about what
these v12 beasts are all about. What I do know is it runs well,
interior is very very good on the pictures, no visible rust but
there is a small 1cm spot of rust in one of the doors. The
paint is in very good condition.
How could I resist all those 12 cylinders burbling away …
What am I in for and what should I look out for. What are the
common problems to look out for. Have I made a big mistake.
Dont be gentle with me give it to me straight.
