Dash light replacement

Hello….I have at least two of the dash light’s behind the speedo and tachometer that are not working.
Can the replacement bulbs be installed without having to replace the dash ?

Yes (maybe year dependent). You will have to remove the instrument panel/cluster to access the bulb holders on the rear. I have replaced mine on my 88 XJ40.

Thanks very much. I was hoping not to remove the cluster…but that’s life.
Any suggestions on how to remove the instrument cluster ?

Gary - there is info in the forum archives about removing the instrument cluster. You can find it by searching. Select the magnifying glass toward the top of the forums screen and enter this in the search box: XJ40 remove instrument cluster
