[E-Type] Bloviator

Ray, I just read Schmed’s report on the Bloviator. If I didn’t have to worry about more skin cancer, I would order one forthwith but I’m afraid my serious top down days are gone.

My real reason for this post is that I hope you have registered “Livingston Bloviator” or the chosen variation, with USPTO as a tradename.

Protect thine hiney!

Me too, Disk. Thats why I wear a big, floppy cowboy hat. You are in that extended sun area too.
LLoyd

Now occurs everywhere, simultaneously. But it doesn't have to be

experienced the moment it happens. Every now that ever was is still exactly
when it was, when it was now. Then, in terms of perception, is nothing more
than all the nows that are no longer now. Thus, the difference between now and then is when.

Hi Dick,

I drove Ray’s car with my huge, floppy, straw hat on, top
down and bloviator in action. It is truly a hat to make any
gardener jealous!

I had no problem with the hat at 60+mph. Normally the brims
would have been flopping around any time I went above 30 mph.

So now the top can be down while the hat is up;)

‘Why do so’ you ask? You get to hear the birds and even
with the huge brim the view is better.

So drop your top Dick!

Cheers,

Larry–

I got my Blowviator in the mail last week and installed it
on Saturday. As promised, it took only a few minutes to
install. The construction/machining is first rate! Only
two tools needed–1/2 inch wrench to take off the old
hardtop mounting points and a hex wrench to install the new
mounting bolt. Testing it on a very blustery 20 to 25 mph
wind gust day at speeds up to 60 mph went well. Wind noise
is very much decreased and the ‘‘back-buffeting’’ wind is
decreased significantly also. The thing looks like it came
with the car.

I sent off a bunch of pictures of the installation to Ray.
If I can remember how to upload pictures to J-L I’ll post
some on here. (Ray, feel free to post my pictures if you
get to it first.)–

Just a note about the pictures of my car posted above–the
bonnet gap is only there because the bonnet is not fully
closed. I had just taken the car out of the garage and I
generally leave the bonnet open in the garage so I can shut
off the master battery shut-off. I brought the car out to
wash it and put on the blowviator and didn’t bother to cinch
down the bonnet as the car was going right back into the
garage. I know that has nothing to do with the blowviator,
but I didn’t want anyone to think the bonnet is that far out
of alignment.–

C’mon Michael, you’re among friends here. It’s OK to admit your body’s flaws.

Well, if we’re talking about MY body flaws that would be a
much different story. No excuses there–only a lot of good
living and indifference to to toll that was taking. I’ll
admit that several of MY gaps have widened and there is some
body distortion here and there. But, I SWEAR, the bonnet on
the Jaguar wasn’t closed all the way.–

How about ‘‘space/time distortion’’? The more time you spend
