[E-Type] Footboard Attachment

How does the wooden footboard attach to a '61 OTS? I’m in the
process of installing the interior into my car but I can’t remember
how it was installed.

It does not attach–it just fits in when needed (short passengers)
to prevent leg fatigue.–

It doesn’t attach, its just propped up in there.
