[E-Type] Has anybody fitted John Farrell stainless steel brake pistons

I’ve just bought some stainless steel brake pistons from John
Farrell and I’m not exactly sure how to fit the washers that come
with them. I didn’t get any instructions with them so I don’t want
to mess them up!!

I’ve taken the spring assembly out of the original pistons and put
them into the new s/s ones. There is a small washer with a hole in
the centre and three small holes around it. What I want to know is
how do I retain this washer in the new piston, whilst compressing
the spring at the same time?

Thanks, Paul.–

My recollection although possibly marred by time is that the retaining washer is swaged in place. I’d suggest either giving John a call or sending them to him for fitting. I’m sure he can help you either way.
