I was surprised to find the drain tap at the bottom of the radiator
to be just a simple affair - a very light finger touch will open
the tap letting coolant out. Although it has not happened while
driving I would like to avoid that possibility. I remember the old
GM cars had a threaded tap which screwed closed very firmly.
Does anyone tie or wire down the tap in a closed position so that
it cannot open accidentally?
