Installed new loom in 3.8 OTS and their is a black earth wire
coming out of the loom about the position of the three way switch
for side and headlights on the centre panel. The other end
terminates behind the steering column bracket where there is a
double earth tag fixed to the body.
Where does this wire go ?

If you are talking about the black wire bundled withthe two white and one
blue that goes to the main switch, the black one pins to a male lug onthe
lower of the three mounting screws for that switch–at least on my 64 s1,
that’s where it goes.
