Very sad story of a 1963 E-Type.

I bet the owner wished now wishes he had driven it every day for
the past 30 years…–

One reason why I’m NOT going for perfection in Tweety…rather
drive’m than spend ANOTHER year with’m off the road! 25 is
plenty…–

Not sure how an E-type, even and 63 could be worth $60K if it
hadn’t been driven in 30 years, but that being said it’s still a
tragedy to hear about…–

That’s an ugly story. Senseless malicious acts like this sometimes
seem worse than more horrible acts that at least had some motive.
Hard to read!

Hi Peter,

I stand corrected. That’s 54,209.8 in US funds.

They’re probably worth more there in any condition too.

So much for my speed reading skills !–

A couple years ago I posted a story about a one owner Series 1 3.8
Coupe which was stolen and burnt out here in Australia.

I saw the car at a restoration shop last night. Body and paint are
done, new centre trim in place. New frames, front suspension in
place.

Truly a labour of love, so it wasn’t the end of the car after all.–

Wow! That’s wonderful that they were able to save the car! Usually a
burnt hulk is so warped that only the hard bits are usable. The
behavior of these two guys is sickening. At least several times a
year we have someone vandalizing cemeteries here. Makes me crazy, old
things that can’t be replaced are destroyed by someone’s dumb a**
stupidity. Sure good to hear this one survived!

‘‘Sickening’’ is putting it mildly!!
The punishment–did NOT fit the crime!!
Seems to be the problem all over.
Glad the car was saved.–
