I would like to find out which series of Jaguar comes from my engine which is currently on my type 1.5.
This is not the original engine

The reference on the engine is 7R35483-9

Series 2 E-Type, approx. Oct '68.

FWIW that engine would have been fitted to a Series 2 2+2 (not an OTS or FHC)

Also possibly a long stud engine. The Series 1½ cars all featured the earlier short stud 4.2s which were carried forward into the first Series 2 cars. At some point in the fall of 1968 the switch over to the long stud engine happened.
