I have had a couple of times (about every other week or so) that my coolant low light has come on and I had to add a little bit of coolant. I saw a post earlier about the cap on the thermostat housing and thought Id look around some since I didn’t really see any signs there. I noticed this at the top right radiator bushing. Has anyone had this before? Does it mean i need a radiator?
Figured I would update, I cleaned out the tube and had it running and it didn’t get anymore in it. So I looked around and found that my crossover tube had a crack from front to back! I looked on my spare engine and wooo hooooo it still had its tube! Swapped them out and so far it seems good!
Keep an eye on all of the plastic cooling parts. My 97 coupe has experienced cracks (and leaks) in the reservoir tank, thermostat housing, coolant crossover, plastic tubes and even the radiator end tank on the right side. They all die eventually. I’m sure living in Arizona doesn’t help.
